The abbreviation DeuFöV stands for “Verordnung über die berufsbezogene Deutschsprachförderung” (Regulation on Work-Related German Language Training). This regulation forms the legal basis for vocational language courses in Germany.

The following requirements must be met in order to take advantage of job-related German language support:

• Migration background with a need for further language training
• Completed integration course and/or German language skills at B1 level. 
• Registered as a job seeker or receiving benefits under SGB II/III. 
• Looking for a training position or already in training
• Recognition procedure for vocational or training qualifications.
