Terms and conditions

Course Fees:

Course fees do not include books except on CIP courses, and are compulsory for all students. If there are any changes to the VAT laws, inlingua Berlin reserves the right to pass on those changes to the client.

Deposit and Payment:

Group courses require a deposit of 15% or EUR 500,00 whichever is the greater, which is to be paid on reserving the course. Individual training (one-to-one) and CIP courses require that course fees are paid in full upon registration.

The course fee is payable in full, no later than three weeks before the course commences. If a course is booked less than three weeks before the commencement dates, all fees are due immediately. Late payments, unless agreed otherwise may be subject to interest. We reserve the right to cancel or terminate any course that has not been paid.

If a visa is required:

The “letter of invitation” or Course Confirmation will be sent only after having received credit card details with an authorization to deduct full payment for the programme. In case of visa denial, inlingua will retain EUR 500,00 as a handling fee. With no presentation of a visa denial from the corresponding German representation no refund can be made.

Courses will only be confirmed after we have received payment, or at least proof of payment.

For group programmes a cancellation fee will be charged according to the following scale:

up to 21 days before the course begins loss of deposit

21 days to 15 days 33%

14 days to 8 days 66%

7 days to 3 days 75%

2 days or less 100%

No refunds will be made after the course has started.

For individual training (one-to-one) and CIP courses no refund will be made.

Group Courses

If there are fewer than four students on a group course the number of lessons per day the number of lessons per day will be reduced to 2 lessons per day.

inlingua Berlin reserves the right to move the student to a different course.

Your deposit and course fees should be paid to the following bank account:

Bank:Landesbank Berlin AG

Account No.1320023505

IBAN:DE 52 1005 0000 1320 0235 05

Public Holidays:

There are no lessons on public holidays. No refund is made for public holidays.

Extending your course and taking holidays:

If you extend your course at inlingua, this extension will be treated as a new booking. For example, if you book a course for 12 weeks and then extend for another 12 weeks this is viewed as two bookings. It is more economical, therefore, to book a longer course from the beginning rather than to book a shorter course and later extend. Please ask us for long-term rates.

Examinations Fee:

Examinations fees are not included in the course price and will be charged separately.

Activities and Excursions:

Activities and excursions are normally offered as optional extras. These activities are organised for students and offered either free or at cost price (when a cost is incurred by inlingua).

Please note: inlingua Berlin organises activities and excursions as a service to clients and can accept no responsibility for loss of clients’ belongings or any personal injury to clients whilst participating in these activities.

We strongly recommend that, when booking a course, all clients take out an appropriate insurance policy to cover the following areas: Cancellation of the course by the client, illness and personal accident insurance, personal belongings etc..

Declaration by the Client
